About Us
The Nabnasset Lake Preservation Association (NLPA) was established in 1990 to advocate for lake abutters in response to the Byrne Ave dam failure. Since its inception, the NLPA has safeguarded the health and safety of Nabnasset Lake water quality, ensuring its preservation for present and future generations. The NLPA is a nonprofit volunteer organization.
What We Do
The NLPA works with town and state conservation commissions, along with a private lake management contractor to control algae and nuisance aquatic weeds. This annual management effort keeps the lake healthy and enjoyable throughout each season. Seasonal treatment intervals vary depending on lake water quality and treatment needs.
What You Can Do
Throughout the years the NLPA has collected member dues to fund lake treatments. For the past several years funds have been a combination of dues, state grants, and town assistance. As of 2025 the grants and town assistance have ended, and moving forward the NLPA will be relying solely on membership dues. Please click below and pay your dues today!
Without Adequate Funding Lake Treatments Will Not be Possible
We ask that current and future members pay dues annually, semi-annually, or monthly to help keep our lake clean and healthy today and into the future.
